i have brougt many designs from the internet and had no problems with them. getting them saved and to my smart box and to the embroidery machine and have beautiful things from them. when i try to get them to my smart box it says. paint can’t read this file, and this is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported. i know paint is something to draw with and i don’t know how to use it. my computer has never said that before when i take a saved design to the smart box and then to the embroidery machine…any ideas???help? the lady was and will not be any help…i just lost my money…

Can you try the download again? It may have been corrupted. If not, download lview or something and try to open the file. If successful, then you can save it as a bitmap. I have lview here if you want to send the file to my email and I’ll see what it says.

This is just a guess. Try to right click on the design file and see if you get a choice that says something like “open with . . .” and then some choices about which program to use to open the file. Try some different graphics programs and see if you can get one to open it. If you have Windows, you may have some type of photo editor or graphics program by microsoft that was pre-installed on your computer that may be able to open it.
