I am interested in a plain kota doria sari (or perhaps lengha choli) in white,off-white, ivory, gold, moon, jasmine or other light colors. I don’t mind simple/elegant embroidery, but I do not like very lively designs. If you can recommend a seamstress or tailor who would be able to do this, that would work as well.
This is for an event that will be held outside, so both comfort and style are important.
Please don’t provide links to popular websites such as utsavsarees, sareesonline, kaneesha, eshakti, bargello, etc. I do have access to google and wanted more specific information.
If you wind up giving me a great starting point or reference, I will choose your answer as best and close this question. Thanks!

I know you don’t want web sites, but have you considered eBay? I did a search on there for sari and there were several hundred listed in lots of colors and styles. Also many people that sell outfits like that on eBay are seamstresses that will custom tailor them to your size. Might be worth looking at! At the very least the pictures might give you some ideas on the style.
Good luck!!

I live in Thailand right now, and can provide you a contact number to a very kind Indian tailor, whom I visit in Bangkok for custom shirting and suiting. Mr Bahadu works at Canoe Master Tailor, telephone 66-2-629-0289. Please mention that his friend Dan (from Canada) told you to call.
