Love the relaxed, friendly style of your video. I have wanted to learn free-motion embroidery for a long time, but was intimidated because I had always seen it done with the use of a hoop, and by making a picture that I wouldn’t want to make a mistake on. I can use your method to have fun and learn control at the same time, and gradually advance to something more complex. Thank you for posting the video!

Hi Doll and thank you for this great video. I’ve got a HusqVik DD machine and until I saw this video I absolutely was stumped about free motion quilting … and I agree with the other comments – you’re great and such a fun personality. You’ve inspired me … and I’m all these thousands of miles away in Australia.

thanks! nope, didn’t try it with an embroidery hoop. can’t quite visualize how that would work, but i know i need to try it–

thanks, sweetie–and good luck with the t-shirt. i’ve had horrid luck on thin things–it works best on something like denim or something with a couple layers, i think.

Your video was the best one I found! Thank you soooo much! I am trying to do this on a t-shirt and it is much more difficult than I thought it would be, but then again, I have a machine that’s 60 some odd years old and can be cranky sometimes. Keep doing these awesome videos! You ROCK (so does EGE too!)
