This is an excellent, clear and concise tutorial, and I’ve found it incredibly useful. Craft shops charge anything up to 40p per ribbon rose, and it’s lovely to be able to make them yourself far cheaper.
Having tried both satin and organza ribbon, the satin is far easier to fold and sew. Thankyou so much for this!

I wouldn’t suggest this – the stitches will prevent the rose from falling apart.

Roll, stitch, fold! Roll, stitch, fold!
I’ll put them in my hair, I’ll decorate my room, I’ll give them to my friends.
Thank you!!

We work with 1 metre or 1 yard lengths. A full metre or yard will make a nice large rose. For smaller roses and rosebuds, use a shorter length of ribbon.

Very clear tutorial. Can you give an indication of the amount of yards of ribbon to use for this rose?
